New book on Forth Coast

Fife's Forth Coast is one of the most atmospheric coastlines in Scotland with so many villages seemingly lost in a time when the world was a little less complicated than it is today.

From Kincardine in the west to Crail in the east, the harbours, or have-been harbours of importance, were the envy of Europe.

Coal and salt, two of the most sought after commodities in the western world, were extracted from earth and sea, for many centuries along the Fife coast.

James Denham's book, 'Let us Discover Fife's Forth Coast,' takes a look at every town and village, their churches and schools, the industry, the great men who lived in Fife and who helped make the world a better place.

The book (£9.25 including postage and packing) can be ordered through the website www.jamesdenhambooks.yolasite.com
