Minutes of meeting
on 24th August 2009
Present Julie Cosgrove, Elaine Brown, Jane Wedge, Kathy
Bridson, Judith Hoefling, Yvette Lovelock, Tara Heron.

Kathy told us that Julie had a baby girl on 10/08/09. She was 8lb 11oz
and is to be called Katie.The committee sent their congratulations and
agreed to send flowers.
Treasurer’s report £10,959 in the bank as
of statement of 04/07/09. All fees are in and up to date and bills are
paid and up to date.
After School Club They have left the centre and Donna
Hanson intends to send us an offical letter. They are closed temporarily
but are trying to establish a new committee and are hoping to return to
the school.
Comrie Crafts The first coffee morning is tomorrow (25/08/09)
from 10-12. profits made will be handed in annually. The first craft session
is on the 31/08/09 10-12.
Fund raising The candle party 06/06/09 was a good night
and made £90 in commission.
The Jewellery Party on the 03/07/09 was a success £12 was made in
commission and £14 from raffle.They would like to hold another one.
The gift night on 06/08/09 was very successful. They also hope to do another
one.
New visitors to the centre commented on how nice it is. This was a straight
hall hire.
Future Bookings Pampered Chef 23/10/09 at 7.30pm, Julie
Cosgrove to get the nibbles.
Silverline Jewellery 14/11/09
Christmas Bazaar 29/11/09 time 2-4pm coffee and home baking for a 50p
donation.
Tables available for craft stalls for 10% commission to the centre. A
tombola stall is also planned.
Barbecue The Barbecue did not go ahead due to the poor
weather.
Toddlers Tara Heron gave us an up date on the toddlers.
They have a website www.comrie toddlers.org.uk which gives all their news.
They have received two grants totalling £9.300.
The storage shed is ordered and will arrive in 3/4 weeks. It will be sited
in the left hand corner of the car park opening onto the car park.
This has been okayed by the building inspector. There was some concern
that this would reduce the available parking space.Members of the committee
went outside to look.
They now have a Friday session 1-2.30pm as well as Wednesday 9.30-11.00am.
Both charged at £6.50 per session as all hires get setting up and
cleaning up time. They plan a Halloween party and sponsored toddle, some
of the funds will go to charity, which they hope to get in the press.They
intend to decorate the hall, but will not touch our newly painted walls.
They can borrow centre's C.D player (donated by Elaine).They have ordered
new child size tables, plan to give unwanted equipment away in exchange
for donation.
Rugby The sports Council are waiting for committee to
reconvene to decide if they will fund the pitch markings.The council will
cut the grass. SRU will back the development of the ground. There will
possibly be a women's rugby Yvette will keep us informed.
AOB It was noted that Jim Tolson did not attend his last
surgery.
It was noted that the centre access needs a pavement and/or fencing to
ensure the safety of the centre users especially disabled users.
White dado rail is to be ordered, PVC is preferred as it is durable. The
widest rail possible is required to protect as much wall as possible.
A new bin with a lid needs to be purchased.
Extra copies of the minutes printed for Donna Hunson and Bobby Clelland,
invite them to next meeting.
Yvette requested the minutes early so she can ask for them to be put onto
the West Fife Villages Website.
The AGM will be Monday 05/10/09 at 7pm
There will be cheese and wine. John Bonnar will be invited to speak.
An advert will be put in the extra (requested by (15/09/09)
